Lewis Silkin is a leading international law firm to creative agencies and has advised Four Communications, the independent integrated agency, on its acquisition of Legend Engage, a data and insights-led agency.

Legend Engage’s main services include data-driven social and digital insights, strategy and engagement and some of their clients include the BBC Good Food Show, Guinness World Records, HRA Pharma, Puressentiel and GSK. The acquisition will see the Legend Engage team work closely with Four’s own Digital and Media practices, strengthening Four’s social and content offering and allowing it to focus on strategic sectors.

This is the second deal of the year for Four Communications and marks the eleventh acquisition on which Lewis Silkin has advised the agency on since 2010. This is also the seventh deal since acquiring £10m of equity finance from the Business Growth Fund in 2015.

The cross-departmental Lewis Silkin deal team was led by corporate partner Karish Andrews, supported by corporate tax partner Matthew Rowbotham.

Karish said:

“We were delighted to assist Nan and her team on another strategic acquisition, hot on the heels of the Insight deal. It has been a busy start to the year for Four and comes off the back of an array of well-deserved and impressive awards achieved by the agency in 2016. We are very proud to be their lawyers.”

“Karish and his team have once again been invaluable partners and have advised us at every stage of the process. Strategically, this is a very significant time for Four Communications so it is essential that we receive the very best commercial advice available. Lewis Silkin provide this, with a deep understanding of the sector, and also our goals and needs.”
