In this report, the Social Market Foundation examines the potential benefits that could be realised from the roll-out of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) in the workplace. It highlights how employees could get more leisure time, more fulfilling work and a safer workplace but will also require new protections from potential problems such as skills becoming redundant and undue workplace monitoring. As for employers, they could see their organisations become more productive and profitable, with smaller companies in particular needing to embrace technology more fully to realise on these benefits.
