This reports by Benefax shows that employee expectations continue to rise in relation to every aspect of the employee experience - from benefits and recognition to technology and communication. Employees want to work in more flexible ways than every before; and they're demanding that employers do more to address their mental, physical and financial wellbeing. Indeed, 77% of employees report that their expectations of their employers have risen since the pandemic. The data also shows that expectations have risen most significantly among employees under the age of 40, suggesting that younger employees are driving change. The report concludes that understanding the huge variety of employee needs and drivers is the biggest challenge facing businesses today as they look to retain highly skilled, motivated and agile workforces which can thrive in the future economy.
