This report from Microsoft analyses data from 31,000 people across 31 countries and identifies three urgent insights business leaders must know as they look to quickly and responsible adopt AI. It shows that the digital debut is costing us innovation, finding that nearly two in three people say they struggle with having the time and energy to do their job - and those people are 3.5x more likely to also struggle with innovation and strategic thinking. Moreover, amid concerns of AI replacing jobs, the data shows that employees are more eager for AI to lift the weight of work than they are afraid of job loss to AI. Finally, the report emphasises that the paradigm shift to AI as copilot will require a whole new way of working, identifying human-AI collaboration as the next transformational work pattern - with the ability to work interactively with AI becoming a key skill for every employee.
