The CIPD's sixth Good Work Index examines data on seven dimensions of work - pay and benefits, contracts, work-life balance, job design and the nature of work, relationships at work, employee voice, and health and wellbeing - to examine how people work and what they think about it. The research finds that the cost-of-living crisis has raised concerns over financial wellbeing to the top of workers' priorities.

Overall, the data shows that employees in the UK continue to be satisfied with their jobs, although work now appears to be less central in people's lives than it was in previous years, with employees more likely to see it as purely a way of making money, and less likely to put in extra effort to help their employer.
