This report by the OECD examines how longevity and technological change are impacting work across 38 countries and identifies key employer policies that can help facilitate career mobility, resulting in better employment choices at older ages. The research underscores the benefits of promoting career mobility in terms of lowering unwanted costs associated with job loss, matching older works' jobs with their evolving caregiving and health needs, and helping them transition out of low quality and less productive jobs. This will require overcoming discriminatory views towards older workers, improving job flexibility choices and ensuring that government policy supports voluntary career mobility.
