ADP’s 2025 People at Work report captures the views of nearly 38,000 workers across 34 markets, showing more employees around the world report feeling engaged at work, continuing a post-pandemic trend. Workers want more skills and the chance to advance, with 19% saying that lack of opportunity is the biggest obstacle to career progression and 45% citing opportunities for career advancement as their top reason to stay with their current employer. AI in the workplace — friend or foe? While 1 in 10 workers feared AI would replace their job, 17% strongly believed AI would positively impact their job in the next year. However, surveillance and stress in the workplace persist, with 32% feeling constantly watched even as stress levels hit a new low of 7%.
