This Deloitte survey reveals that generative AI use is widespread but still shallow, with most workers using it for familiar tasks rather than rethinking how work gets done.
The survey highlights several key barriers to realising value: half of workers have received no formal training, shadow AI is common, and only a minority feel confident that their leaders fully understand the implications of generative AI. It emphasises that unlocking AI’s potential requires investment in people as well as technology. Organisations that equip their workforce with the skills, confidence and guidance to use AI responsibly will be best positioned to move beyond experimentation, transform how work is done and create lasting business value.
