This Working Life: New EU directive aims to bring parental leave into the modern age
The EU Work-life Balance Directive aims to modernise existing EU frameworks to support a better work-life balance for parents and carers, to encourage more equal sharing of parental leave between men and women, and to improve the representation of women in the labour market.
Ireland has until August 2022 to implement the directive.
