I advise on a wide range of employment matters with a focus on litigation in both the Employment Tribunal and the High Court, particularly discrimination issues.
I also advise on non-contentious matters, such as contract and policy reviews and redundancies.
I joined the Employment, Immigration and Reward team at Lewis Silkin in 2015. Before moving into law I studied modern languages at Oxford University, and am particularly interested in international work as I speak Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
Outside of work I can normally be found ballroom dancing or working on my next language.
I specialise in international work, both advising foreign companies on English legal issues and project managing large cross-jurisdictional matters. I work with Spanish clients, both those setting up in the UK and those with an established presence. I have recently coordinated a contract review across over forty countries, and I work closely with contacts in our international Ius Laboris network.
I have also delivered client training internationally, recently spoke on UK discrimination law at a conference in Italy, and have co-authored an article published in an international legal journal.
Litigation and advisory work
I advise both employers and employees on litigation matters. My recent experience involves representing employers in whistleblowing, disability and sexual orientation discrimination and unfair dismissal cases. I also advise employees, and have recently represented clients in age and sex discrimination and unfair dismissal claims. I have substantial experience of both Employment Tribunal and High Court procedure and work with clients across a range of sectors, including the financial sector.
I also advise on a full spectrum of day-to-day employment matters, such as disciplinary and grievance issues, contract and policy reviews and data subject access requests.
