I am a paralegal in Lewis Silkin’s Employment, Immigration and Reward division based in Belfast.
I graduated from the University of Chester with an Honours degree in Law. I went on to attend the University of Law in Bristol, where I graduated from the Legal Practice Course and completed a Masters in Law and Business. Working in the Human Resources department of a large manufacturing company has given me invaluable, first-hand experience in disciplinary and grievance procedures in NI and ROI.
I assist with a full range of employment issues including Tribunal and Court cases and training for clients. I conduct research on relevant laws, regulations and legal articles, keeping up to date with recent cases. I draft correspondence and legal documents such as workplace policies and pleadings and pursue and inspect legal documentation.
I have aided in research and attended in-house training for clients, creating awareness and informing clients of recent developments relating to Employment law in both NI and GB.
I have a keen interest in the areas of disciplinary and grievances, and discrimination claims.
