About

I am a paralegal in the Employment team, working primarily with the Rockhopper service and supporting associates on a variety of Employment Tribunal-related issues. I have experience in litigation and previously spent 2 years in a Bristol firm's banking disputes team.

I graduated from the University of Exeter in 2021 with a degree in Classics, before completing my GDL and LPC.

Experience

Litigation

  • Handling Court cases from pre-action, through to drafting hearings, instructing counsel for hearings, and settlement.
  • Working in a variety of areas including fraud, discrimination, and data protection.
  • Drafting technical documents including pleadings and witness statements.
  • Assisting more senior fee-earners on more complex, high-value cases.
  • Reporting direct to clients on case updates, risk factors, and settlement prospects

Advising

  • Responding to ad-hoc queries relating to compliance with complex court orders.
  • Assisting with preparing compliance processes for the client's use.
  • Training and supervising other paralegals' work.

Volunteering

  • Working with Citizens Advice to provide free impartial advice to individuals on a range of issues.
  • Working with the Bristol Law Centre to advise local community members on legal issues.
  • Working with Ablaze to provide mentoring sessions to Bristol schoolchildren, teaching them practical employability skills
