About

I am an Associate in our Employment team, advising employers and individuals on all aspects of employment law, covering contentious matters and advisory work.

My practice covers a broad range of employment issues which arise throughout the employment relationship. I have particular experience advising on senior terminations and exits, representing both individuals and companies. My work also has a strong international element and I regularly advise on cross-border issues. I am also regularly instructed to advise on Employment Tribunal litigation, including whistleblowing, discrimination and unfair dismissal claims.

I work for clients across all industries but I have particular experience in financial and professional services, technology and life sciences.

Employment

  • Advising on day-to-day employee relations advice on issues arising throughout the employment relationship including employment contracts and handbooks, performance issues, sickness, grievance and disciplinary processes, family rights, redundancies (including collective processes), TUPE, terminations and exits
  • Advising on and managing the exits of senior individuals, including directors, founders and LLP members, often in sensitive circumstances and involving complex incentives and remuneration issues
  • Managing Employment Tribunal litigation including whistleblowing, discrimination and unfair dismissal claims, as well as alternative dispute resolution processes
  • Advising on cross-border employment issues including redundancies and restructuring for international businesses, and employee relations issues with international elements

Support for senior executives

  • Reviewing employment contracts, helping senior individuals negotiate favourable terms when joining a business and advising on potential issues with a previous role (e g non-compete clauses)
  • Negotiating exit arrangements including financial and non-financial terms
  • Pursuing complex and high value claims in the Employment Tribunal
