I am a trainee solicitor currently sitting in my third seat across two teams: DCC (Digital, Commerce, and Creative) and IPDR (Intellectual Property Dispute Resolution).
For my first seat at LS, I sat with the Dispute Resolution team and gained a substantial amount of experience across all stages of civil litigation, from pre-action correspondence and compliance with pre-action protocols through to in-court hearings, enforcement and ADR. I have been involved in a range of contentious matters, including commercial debt recovery, breach of contract claims, professional negligence, shareholder disputes, and insurance litigation. I gained skills of case preparation and management, in particular coordinating with e-disclosure providers, instructing counsel, dealing with multi-party disputes, and liaising with foreign lawyers in cross-border matters.
During my next seat in Employment, I gained broad experience across both contentious and advisory employment work. I assisted on a complex, multi-week Employment Tribunal claim involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, victimisation, whistleblowing detriment and unfair dismissal, supporting the team through disclosure, witness-statement preparation, evidence analysis and trial attendance. I was also substantially involved in a large-scale workplace investigation for a major corporate client, where I helped to conduct witness interviews, drafted investigation scripts and produced detailed investigation reports. I was also fortunate to be able to closely follow various worker status claims for large corporations. Alongside this litigation and investigations work, I have drafted settlement agreements, consultancy agreements, HR scripts and employee handbook policies, and undertaken legal research on a range of employment law topics including advice on the Employments Right Act 2025.
I am a keen participant of the Diversity and Inclusion group at LS, specifically the Race and Ethnicity sub-group. I also volunteer as a mentor for an internal access to law scheme, engage regularly in business development initiatives, and have made significant commitments to pro bono work.
Prior to joining Lewis Silkin, I studied Law and Spanish Law at Oriel College, University of Oxford, and graduated in 2024. I subsequently completed the LPC at BPP University, finishing with a distinction and completing an additional optional module on Legal Technology Innovation.
