Apple have announced that they will be shortly releasing iOS 14.5 and, with it, introducing their long-awaited AppTrackingTransparency framework with effect from 26 April 2021.

The change has far-reaching implications for any app developer that wants to link any app derived data with third party data for advertising purposes. To find out more, read our more detailed article on this here.

 

All apps must use the AppTrackingTransparency framework to request the user's permission to track them... You'll also need to include a purpose string in the system prompt to explain why you'd like to track the user.
