This interactive session combines a thought provoking keynote with small group discussions to explore practical, evidence based approaches to collecting, interpreting, and applying social mobility data. Featuring an opening keynote from Resham Kotecha, Global Head of Policy at the ODI. She is also Deputy Chair of the Social Mobility Commission.

Following the keynote, participants will join facilitated round tables to share expertise, compare strategies, and co develop solutions to common challenges. The focus is on actionable outcomes—building strong data foundations, turning insight into impact, and measuring what matters to drive meaningful progress in your organisation.

By attending, you will gain:

  • Clear frameworks for responsibly collecting and analysing social mobility data, including how to maximise response rates and build trust with your workforce.
  • Practical guidance on using data to inform strategy, set meaningful goals, and tracking progress.
  • Examples of effective metrics and dashboards, and how to translate data into targeted interventions that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Insight into governance, privacy and legal considerations, and how to communicate findings to senior stakeholders to drive buy-in.
  • Peer learning through small-group discussions focused on common barriers and proven solutions.

Please note that spaces are limited, by invitation only and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We will be running a waiting list. We hope you can join us for this highly practical and collaborative session. If you have any queries, or are interested in attending, please contact our events team.
