I advise UK-based and multi-national companies on all aspects of labour and employment law, with a particular focus on employment issues arising on corporate mergers and acquisitions and outsourcing transactions.

I also advise on international employment law, regularly leading on large cross-border employment projects. I work across a wide range of sectors, including in the advertising & marketing, manufacturing, technology and pharmaceutical sectors.

Experience

Employment

  • Advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment issues, including senior executive recruitment and exits, collective redundancies, complex disciplinary and grievance procedures, discrimination issues, changing terms and conditions and, agency workers' rights
  • Defending Employment Tribunal proceedings, regularly overseeing the defence of unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, discrimination, trade union detriment and whistleblowing claims

M&A, Outsourcing & TUPE

  • Advising as a TUPE specialist, on the employment aspects of corporate M&A transactions and commercial outsourcing / insourcing situations
  • Advising on the employment law issues arising within a very wide range of transaction structures, ranging from managing the TUPE implications of the loss of a client account through to dealing with the transfer of employees in many different countries on large cross-border deals

Advertising & marketing

  • Advising numerous organisations across the advertising & marketing sector on all aspects of labour and employment law, including agencies within one of the world's largest marketing communications networks, independent advertising agencies and PR agencies
  • Advising advertising & marketing clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment issues. I also regularly advise on the employment issues arising on the commencement and termination of agency agreements and on corporate mergers & acquisitions within the sector
