The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is warming up to use its new consumer enforcement and fining powers under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers (DMCC) Act 2024. Given the CMA can now fine companies up to 10% of annual global turnover for breaches of consumer law, understanding how your business might be contacted by the CMA prior to or as part of an investigation has never been more important.

This webinar will cover what to do if the CMA:

  • Opens an investigation against your business
  • Sends your business an Information Notice
  • Raids your business

Join us for an interactive session led by Geraint Lloyd-Taylor and Jen Dinmore, consumer regulatory lawyers from Lewis Silkin’s Digital, Commerce and Creative team. This includes key insights from Jen, who recently worked as Director of Consumer Protection at the CMA.

We will provide practical advice and tips on how to prepare for contact from the CMA so that your business is on the front foot.

This session is part of a series of content we have produced on the DMCC Act which you can access here: The Consumer Law Hub.
