I am a Managing Practice Development lawyer, responsible for ensuring that our corporate transactional lawyers are always fully up to date on the latest developments in law and practice and have the resources to provide our clients with the best possible service.
Having spent many years as a corporate transactional lawyer, advising both private and public listed companies and their directors and shareholders on a wide variety of corporate matters, I was well equipped to become a managing practice development lawyer. I’ve now been in this role for many years.
I manage and contribute to our corporate training programmes, know how sharing and legal update bulletins and meetings, standard transaction documents and client publications. I spend a large part of my time on reading and analysing new and existing corporate law and practice and researching practical legal points in depth. I often give particular corporate law advice on transactions, and occasionally I work directly for clients.
Mine is a hugely satisfying role as numerous times a day lawyers throughout the firm bring their queries to me. I find it really rewarding to be able to share my knowledge and expertise and contribute to our clients’ business needs.
