I am a senior associate in the Employment team, and I am based in the firm’s Oxford office.

I advise organisations and individuals on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues. This includes advising HR professionals on day-to-day employee and organisational matters, advising and acting on behalf of employers and individuals in respect of litigation, advising on Equality Act and discrimination issues, assisting with company reorganisations and employment aspects of corporate transactions including contract and policy drafting.

I currently have a wide-ranging practice which involves advising both individuals and organisations within a range of different sectors. My expertise includes advising individuals in relation to complex employment tribunal matters involving discrimination and unfair dismissal.

International

I am a member of the firm’s international group. We assist our clients with a range of queries which may involve an international element including, for instance, providing advice to non-UK clients on how to comply with UK employment law or assisting with company reorganisations involving international employees/locations. I previously worked for the firm as a paralegal and during this time I assisted fee earners with the management of several large-scale international projects which often included coordinating with other lawyers within the Ius Laboris network. These skills and connections have remained highly relevant to my practice as a qualified lawyer.

Individuals

My previous experience has involved advising individuals in relation to employment tribunal claims for discrimination. Many these cases included elements of disability discrimination, however I have also advised individual clients in relation to race, sex and pregnancy/maternity discrimination issues along with issues relating to the other protected characteristics. I regularly advise individual clients in relation to the negotiation of settlement agreements with their employers.

I am regularly involved in CSR work and, where possible, enjoy taking on pro bono matters. I have previously assisted the Citizens Advice Bureau in Oxford by volunteering to advise on employment law issues.

Outside of work, I enjoy running and triathlon events. During the summer of 2021, I completed three marathons and a 10km swim to raise money for a local Oxford charity.
