I am an Associate in the Commercial team at Lewis Silkin, having qualified in 2020 after training at the firm.
During my training contract, I spent time gaining experience in the firm’s Corporate, Employment, Commercial, and IP teams, as well as on secondments to a major retailer and a global advertising agency.
I initially joined the firm back in 2016 as a member of the IP and Commercial teams, where I spent two years working with global clients across several industries on their international brand protection and advertising campaigns, as well as drafting, negotiating and advising clients on a range of commercial contracts including client/agency agreements, talent, licensing, and general services agreements.
I'm originally from Toronto, Canada, and have a BA in Journalism and French from the University of Idaho in the United States, which I attended whilst on a full athletic scholarship for tennis. I then worked in advertising at BBDO Toronto as an Account Manager for nearly four years, prior to making the decision to move to the Netherlands to attend law school. I earned my LLB in EU and comparative European law from Maastricht University in 2014.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, hiking, and cooking, and I am currently learning German.
