Lewis Silkin has advised Publicis Groupe, one of the largest communications groups in the world, on its acquisition of specialist digital agency Poke London from its four founding shareholders and Mother Holdings Ltd. The move accelerates Publicis Groupe’s drive to further enhance its digital capability.

Founded in 2001, Poke London is highly regarded for its award-winning work for clients such as Mulberry, Everything Everywhere, Ted Baker and Bombay Sapphire and will be integrated into the Publicis Worldwide network, working alongside Publicis Worldwide London, Publicis Chemistry and Publicis Blueprint.  Poke’s expertise across service design, UX, digital architecture and product development complement and enhance Publicis Worldwide’s considerable existing capabilities across its range of services.

Lewis Silkin undertook all corporate, tax, employment and real estate aspects of the deal. The Lewis Silkin team was led by Corporate partner Paul Rajput, supported by Corporate associates Helen Ewing and Barnaby Stokes.

Paul says

"As longstanding counsel to Publicis Groupe, it has been a pleasure advising this major full service advertising holding company on several M&A deals that strengthen both its digital core and its fundamental belief in the power of world class creativity and innovation.  The successful conclusion of this Poke London acquisition for the Publicis Worldwide network in the UK follows on from the successful acquisition by the Publicis Worldwide network in the UK of Chemistry Communications in 2011 upon which we were also pleased to advise Publicis Groupe."
